We became engaged on February 10th, 2004 in Tulum, Mexico. Tulum is a quiet beach town south of Cancun in the beautiful Mayan Riviera.

The cabanas have no electricity, television, phone or gas as a result of their remote location. We used candles and headlamps to light our room. Our cabana was made from hand-processed local wood and palm branches and sat atop a small bluff from which we could overlook the blue-green sea and white sand beaches.
It's a wonder that we came back!

Erin and Matt met each other during their sophmore year ('94) at the University of Texas in Austin (Longhorns!).
While they were acquainted with each other and even had common friends, they did not date. Erin was from Venus, Matt was from Mars.
Then in the Spring of 2002, after Erin moved to Denver from Tulsa and Matt moved to Denver from San Francisco, they had a serendipitous run-in with each other on Boulder's Pearl Street Mall. Neither knew that the other had moved to Denver. The planets (Venus and Mars of course) must have been aligned. They exchanged phone numbers and re-united shortly thereafter. In the Fall of 2003 they took a nostalgic road trip to Austin to revisit the exact location where they originally met in college (the UGL lobby). This time they knew that that their spark would last. And the rest we shall leave to be determined!
